Show Day

9th November 2024

Welcome to the Westbury Show, Tasmania’s third-oldest agricultural show.

2023 saw record showgoers and entries in all competitions, including cattle, kennel and home industries. We’re hoping that 2024 will top the charts again!

The popularity of last year’s shearing and wool-handling competition has brought the competition back again this year. Another agricultural stable, woodchopping, is back again, too!

We like to say that we are the family variety show of the north. Our show has something for every family member, from horse competitions, kids’ entertainment, our popular FREE kids’ corner, dog demonstrations, and a fantastic array of home industry creations.

Australia’s favourite dog, Bluey, will appear with friends this year!

Ticket sales will be cash or EFTPOS at the gates on show day. The show closes at approximately 4 p.m.

We want to keep everyone safe, please:

  • Do not attend if you’re unwell
  • You are welcome to wear a face mask. Wearing a face mask can reduce the risk of catching or spreading viral infections, especially when space is limited
  • If you become unwell at the Show, please return home
  • Wash and sanitise hands often
  • Cover coughs and sneezes

Tasmania’s COVID risk is currently moderate. For more Tasmanian government information on COVID 19, click here

The Westbury Show is a smoke-free environment declared by the Public Health Service. Designated Smoking Areas are shown at the venue’s entrance.

Dogs at the Showgrounds

Dogs are welcome at the Showground unless there is an event (Show Day is the exception. Dogs are permitted on Show Day, but they must be on a lead).

If the grounds have been hired for an event, dogs (other than those participating in an event) are not permitted on the grounds.  Dogs must always be kept on a lead and please clean up after your dogs and take their waste home with you.
